PipeKeeper Oy uses so called cookies on its website to monitor how the content of its online services is used and to facilitate the use of the services. If you visit our website and cookies are enabled in your browser settings, you will be deemed to accept cookies.

What is cookie and how does it work?

Cookie is short text file stored by web service on the user's computer. In practice, the cookie is small anonymous user-specific text file that is stored in the user's web browser. Afterwards, the web server is able to read the cookie and to identify the individual browser (for example, when the user returns to the site). The cookie can only be used by the server that has been saved the cookie, and the user can not be identified by simply using cookies or other similar technologies. For example, our site can not know the user's email address, unless the user specifically provides it to PipeKeeper .

In principle, there are two kinds of cookies – session-specific and permanent cookies. The session-specific cookies are cleared when the user stop using the pages. Permanent cookies will remain in the browser for a period until the user deletes them.

The main purpose of cookies is to improve user experience of online services. For example, the user is not required to re-enter usernames, passwords, or settings of the service every time. We also use cookies and other similar techniques to monitor traffic at our services.
